Was I scammed?  Not in the least.  So, what’s all the talk about being tricked and the way in which the products are not truly free, or whether they actually even work?

You see, providing something for free up front, asking for a Visa to pay shipping, and billing monthly is a great business model.  It works, that is the reason why these businesses do it.  They know what works and they want to make money.  I do not believe that any of them are looking to scam anyone or they would not be in business long. Almost all of the clients like the product and get results so these companies know they’ll get back the expenses of offering anything free.  Plus I am certain they get a decent profit margin so it doesn’t take long. 

Now, using famous celebrities to assist with promotion is a bit shady I admit, but that has been going on for a while.  Watch any commercial and see if you can not spot a celeb.  And do you believe they use the product being discussed. I doubt it.  They just get paid well as a spokesperson.  Those sorts of promos online are being cracked down on so you probably won’t see much of that anymore anyways. 

As for the safety of the supplements, I personally only use superfoods or supplements that are made naturally.  I don’t hunt down weight control products with chemicals and other crap.  I am getting products that contribute to healing, not products that make me more ill.  In the case of acai, I will be getting really powerful antioxidants to keep the free radicals at bay.  For colon cleansing products, I’m going to be getting assistance ridding my body of built up waste and dropping pounds in the process.
